Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

I am so excited to find a husky forum that is actually active! My name is Amber and I recently became the new mom of a beautiful Husky / Samoyed mix male named "Jack". He is only 10 months old and is so much fun (and pretty comical). Right now he is staying at my mother-in-laws until our house is finished being built in November. I can't wait to actually get him home with us. I visit with him every day though. He needs a bit of work for sure. When I got to the house today he had pulled out some books off the bookshelf and shredded it (hard cover and all), shredded a fake tree, ate a loaf of bread off the counter, and spread his food into every room. We are planning on starting his obedience classes the first week of November.

Anyways, go ahead and enjoy a couple pictures of my boy and I look forward to talking with all of you! Smile

Yeah I found them a couple years back when I owned an Alaskan Malamute. I never had the chance to meet up with them before I had to sadly rehome her but I got back involved with them now since having Jack and will be going to their next meet! Smile

Welcome!! I just moved from winter park to jacksonville Smile is that the sweet boy that was on Craigslist?
Snow did the same thing with food when we first got her, it was a nightmare! Lol I hope he is getting settled in and I think it's awesome you got him!!!!

@ arooroo - that's what I thought but the old owner said Samoyed mix so I don't know. Either way he is beautiful!

@shawna - yes it is! I have my own pictures but I haven't had a chance to get them on my computer. When I saw his add I just knew he was for me. And I just love him!

He does kind of just look like a wooly siberian to me, but it is possible that he is a husky/sammy mix, cause I know there is a guy in Orlando who breeds that mix a lot. I justed to see his ad's on kijiji all the time.

Jack is amazing, but sure is a handful. He will need some obedience training soon.
