Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

OK well i thought i would just post about nikita. nikita most times is a great listener. well today she made a run for it. upon opening the door i asked her to sit and stay. she listened. when my sister who was visiting opened to door she made a run for it. when calling her back she just gave me that"look" and took off the other way. she is not an off leash dog unless in a fanced in area with her play mate (a female boxer) I am kinda thankful she is afriad of cars and anything really that makes a loud nosie or on the road. she did not head for the road. it was a hell of a chase thankfully she did not go to far but took a good 20 min of you cant get me.

We've had one near miss with each of ours. Logan got out the front once when my mum left the door open. I called my partner, he ran out the front and tackled him before he had the chance to run Very Happy Tayla got out through the gate once but she loves people so much all we had to do was call her and she came running back excitedly. If they ever got out and running I don't know how long it would take to get them back.

Hopefully that is the last time NIkita get out.

My two got out one morning while I was mowing the yard I did not get the gate closed when I moved to the back yard. When I realize they were gone I yell at John and ran out in the front door calling them they came running around the corner from our neighbors house. I was totaly surprised.

I responded with the you can't catch me look and ran to the neighbors and then looped around and straight in the house. Sucker fell for it XD

Now that she got the taste of it she probably will try it again. When Anubis did this the first time I ran afte rhim too, but that is mistake because the little furdevils love being chased so it is all fun for them.
