Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

She's beautiful no doubt but she definitely resembles a pit especially her face.

Huh, I never saw this post. To be honest, I see 0% husky in Freya. But whatever she is, she's adorable. We had a pit mix rescue at the rescue I worked for that looked NEVER similar to her. I think they listed her part heeler, but never was sure if I agreed with that.

Husky mixed with bully type breeds can give you interesting results.
i know of a litter of alaskan huskies, whose mom looked very much husky and the puppies, well they don't look anything like huskies. but i know the owner of dam and have seen pictures from day 1 and if i hadn't seen those or knew the owner, i wouldn't ever guess a husky mix for them.

so it is possible, i'll have to see i can share a picture or two.

No I havnt gotten the DNA done yet, it's on the to do list. Life has taken over and because it's not a 100% neccesity it can wait.

I'm so happy with her, what ever she is. She has grown into an amazing girl. Even if I never found out what she is I'd be content. But I'd like to know for potential health issues.

this litter has totally opened my eyes that labeling a mixed breed can be harder than i ever thought. i would not picture husky in any of those pups.

Wow, would you look at that!

I saw pics of her parents and they both looked like huskies, the mother was full bred Husky while her dad was 1/4 bull mastiff 3/4 husky. She was the only one out of all of the pups to not have much if any resemblance to the husky as a tiny pup. She was the biggest female and was just so blantanly orange lol.

This pic was taken just a few days ago

She's now 7 months old. Her tail curls like the husky, she's muscular, but not overly so, she's pushing 20kg (44lb). She casts like crazy, but doesnt seem to have a very dense undercoat. It is present in parts of her body though.
