| Hi all. New to the site and newly owned by my two Siberian Huskies, Dakota and Nola. They are 11 weeks and 4 days old and absolutely precious. Very happy to have them as an addition to my family.

| Welcome! And best of luck with your two new additions! They'll be handful but they'll be worth it. |

| We've had them for about a week and a half. We are learning as are they. Definitely a handful but worth it! Their disposition is just fantastic and the only challenge thus far is their curiosity. Puppy proofing for Huskies is much more intense than any other breed, they are so smart. LOL

| I'm not sure if it's possibly to be 100% puppy proofed with huskies. Please share pictures if you can! We love them here. |

| If you go to the buttons above the reply box, it's the 6th one in. It says host an image. You can upload from your computer or use a link to the picture. And the 3rd line has a drop down. You want to select the "640px" one. You just copy the code and paste! |

| good luck with them puppies, remember to work with them alone so they don't get to attached to each other. _________________ |

| Why is it a bad thing for them to get attached to one another? |

| We have had talks about it in the past, trying to find it. on a fast google search i found this. http://alexadry.hubpages.com/hub/Pros-and-Cons-of-Raising-Two-Litter-Mate-Dogs
there is a name for it but i can't remember. Kim here with demon and dakota has raised both as pups and she can give you first hand info on what she had and is dealing with. _________________ |

| https://www.itsahuskything.com/t3569-me-and-the-wife-getting-2-sister-litter-mates?highlight=litter+matesThat's the link to the discussion about it here. There might be more lurking around but that's the one I read through when I was thinking about what it'd be like to raise two puppies together. A quick summary would be that they bond too closely and don't form their own personalities. Then you've got two dogs who physically can't be separated because they don't know what to do without the other half. So if one is sick and has to go to the vet but the other stays home, both dogs are going to have negative reactions to being separated. They can also teach each other bad habits. It's better to train them separately and give them each individual play time with you as well as let them play together. You don't have to isolate them, you just have to give individual time as well. |

| Oh, okay. I follow that reasoning. They have very distinct personalities thus far but we have already seen them influence one another. We have already started working with each separately on basic commands and do play with them individually as well as together. |
