So I took Luna to the dog park today. She loved it and she make a few friends with minutes arriving. The big dog you see is a Mix between a malamute and Australian Shepherd. She's only 8 months old and Luna was not afraid:)

How old is Luna again? Only around 11-12 weeks, right? You really should not have her in a dog park until she has had all of her shots, and even then most dog parks have minimum age requirements between 4-6 months. Socialization is great, but there have been HUGE outbreaks of Parvo this year. I would hate to see Luna get sick, and Parvo is extremely dangerous and deadly in young puppies. A friend of mine lost their puppy to it a few weeks ago out in California. In the meantime, get her together with people you know whose dogs are fully vaccinated to minimize her risk.

Being from the North East as well, I can back that up. When I brought Callie home in June my vet had me keep her on complete lock down until she had her shots because parvo was going around. I only just started taking Callie back out places and she's been done with her shots for about three weeks now. Definitely socialize only with dogs of family and friends for right now as long as you know they are healthy and up to date on shots.

Sorry for the late replied, just recently have time to relax. She's up to date with her shots. The vet was the one who suggested it. I was telling her much damage she was doing to the house. I was giving the go head after I took a few shots that day.
