2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. I just bought a few grooming tools from Amazon so I am prepared once Nikko starts to 'really' shed.
I got the Evolution W6110 Grooming Undercoat Rake with Rotating Teeth, Double Row, Safari Self-Cleaning Large Slicker Brush for Dogs, Love Glove Grooming Mitt, and the KONG ZoomGroom, Dog Grooming Brush. All for $34! I figured the combination of all of them plus the glove to get his legs, I should be able to somewhat keep shedding under control haha. What would be a good schedule to use them once he begins shedding? Are all these good tools to use multiple times a week without damaging his coat or skin?

Wow, you got an awesome deal! I love Amazon too. But I hate it because it takes a lot of my money. Razz Too convenient sometimes!

He'll probably start shedding around 3 1/2 to 4 months. It gets gradual as weeks pass. I always use the slicker brush on Juneau every other day (I try). It wouldn't hurt to do it every day. The undercoat rake can be used every other day too. The leg brush can be used once a week, but I don't really notice Juneau's leg hairs being shed (all dogs are different). Just don't be aggressive with the brushing (physically) and he should be fine if you brush daily. Smile

Looks like you're set for life! Now all you need is a High Velocity Dryer. That's next on my list lol.

Ok great. When I was reading online I kept seeing using certain tools, like the furminator, too often could harm his coat and skin. So I just wanted to make sure.
