PostSubject: How much Diatomaceous Earth (food grade) to buy?   How much Diatomaceous Earth (food grade) to buy? EmptyThu Sep 06, 2012 6:42 pm

Afternoon all,

I am going to purchase some Diatomaceous Earth from Wolfcreekranch.com.

I will be using it in the yard, around the house, and in Juneau's food. I have a 2800 sq ft house but about 2/3 of that is carpet. The yard is a pretty good size too. It's probably a good 60x70 foot yard (just guessimate).

She's got fleas and I don't want to use Frontline, Advantix, etc etc. I have 6 pills of Capstar arriving in the mail tomorrow (hopefully).

I've been using the ACV and Garlic, but to no avail - it hasn't really helped. I guess all of the fleas have to be off in order for it to repeal them lol. I also used the essential oils (Lanvendar, Cedarwood and Rose Geranium) but the problem persists (once again, repeals and doesn't kill - expected).

The neighbors next door have a dog that they leave out 24/7. Their yard is trashed (literally, scattered garbage). I'm going to "assume" that they don't treat their dog or yard for pests. We have a 6 foot wooden fence. I'm worried this is where the fleas are coming from. Behind our yard is a retention pond, this could be the source too. >:l

Since I want to treat my yard, house, and Juneau, how much would I have to order?

Also, how often would I have to order before the fleas come back?

They're in serveral different packages and it's overwhelming. I also don't know how much is "too much" for per area. I hope that's not confusing.

I'm sorry if this is redundant, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the forum.

Lol I'll gladly take some off his hands. I just didn't want to seem rude and ask. Lol. I'm a pretty easygoing person!

This is the one I purchased..

I would gladly package some up for you and send it to you for the shipping cost and a couple of dollars.

No I don't have a pour spout with mine.

We did purchase a weed sprayer like this one from walmart for doing the yard.

Send me a pm if you want some..

We used these something like this for instructions using it in the yard.
