| In Arya's crate we place half newspaper and the other half vetbed, I did notice she never really slept on the vetbed even though its nice and soft, I cleared out her crate today an left it empty and for the first time she went in there without any encouragement and took a nap.
she does seem to prefer hard surfaces to nap on. We have not bought a nice comfy bed for her yet as we are still house training, she still has issues but only with carpeted areas and nowhere else.
does anyone else have this with their husky, I think if we bought her a bed it would just be used as a chew toy while she laid on our tiled floor.
cheers Col |

| Freya loves nice soft things. If she could get away with it, I'm sure she's sleep on my son's bef all the time, but she has her crate with a mountain of blankets and her large pet pillow.
I found carpeted areas the hardest to get Freya to stop peeing on too. I think because they retain the smell more than a hard surface. Try cleaning the area with Vinigar as it breaks down the enzimes. |

| We had a blanket in Char's crate, but he just balled it up and slept beside it. I took it out and he likes it just fine. He still prefers to sleep on the tile by our front door though. We have a large bed for him outside his crate. He never sleeps on it, but he likes to take his toys there to chew on. Funny thing is if he gets a hold of something he shouldn't have he runs right to his bed with it. Makes it easy to catch him.
Warning though, he did pee on his bed a few times. Luckily he seems to have the potty training down now. I just put the mats back on the floor yesterday. So far so good. |

| Nala used to have a nice, comfy bed in her crate to sleep on, but she just laid next to it and chewed it until she fell asleep. After I took the bed out, I've noticed she enjoys sprawling out on the hard bottom of her crate now while she sleeps (and I'll have you know, she sleeps in some crazy positions). She does lay on her large bed that's in my room and chews on her toys during the day, however. So overall, my husky prefers to sleep on hard plastic, but she likes the bed for lounging during the day (: |

| sounds pretty normal then, thankfully she has never soiled her crate or any of the tiled area in our house.
Arya gets herself into some pretty weird sleeping positions too, but all entertaining.
thanks for the replies everyone Col |

| Ours have beds, but they are in our bedroom - where they also sleep uncrated. Now, our couches are their favorite when they aren't on their beds. If they get toasty, they like the wood floors. I believe this cools them down.
We never put anything in their crates. They end up destroyed. |
