So we are getting to the point in Bode's feeding where the daily recommended amount goes down. We are currently feeding him a little over a cup, three times a day. Is it better to just decrease the amount per feeding, or to remove the lunch feeding altogether? I would prefer to get him down to just two meals a day, but he is so used to his feeding schedule, and he goes bonkers if it's off. If I come home to let him out at lunchtime, he will refuse to go out to potty until he has gotten his food. He is seriously a food maniac. Any suggestions?

can you just start feeding half his lunch portion at lunch or replace his lunch with say a bone/ treat of some kind? and keep the morning/night portions the same?
he is a husky and as you are finding out they are stubborn when things change, its good to get him used to having cure balls thrown at him Wink

I would do like Jenn suggested and try gradually decreasing his lunch until you can replace it with a treat and then stick to the breakfast and dinner feedings.

That's a good idea, thanks. Kind of a no brainer, don't know why I didn't think about it!
