Ok, I was walking my four month old husky puppy in the park and saw a boy and girl with two pit bulls(Now anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE advocate for pitbulls this being said) I HATE IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS WHO ONLY USE THERE ANIMALS TO MAKE MONEY, they only reason they had dogs where to breed, i noticed the male was unaltered and I yelled out, please do not let him go, I have a unaltered four month puppy, ur dog will attack him to protect his Bitch, low and behold the man lets go of the leash saying his dog is well behaved and my dad's dog got jumped, I was so pissed, it was not even the dogs fault, he was protecting his female from another male, I HATE IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS(P.S- My dog gets neutered next month when he turns 5 months).

This pissed me there is a huge problem with people over breeding Pitbulls where my dad lives. They are all kids age 28 and under who think just because they have a male and female dog that they are "Automatically Breeders". Its sad because these dogs are poorly socialized and at any time of the year there are at least 2 litters being sold,none of them have shots and are not even being breed by dogs that fit the breed standard..they are the first to be euthanized and over running shelters and these kids are doing this, where the hell are there parents...... Iv tried to report them but they keep switching who's house they do it in..It breaks my heart, these poor dogs... I do not blame the dog for jumping Thunder(if he really wanted to he could have killed my dog, he was warning him, he did not even break his skin) I blame these dumb owners...

Im 28 and I dont really like being labeled as a kid, and 28 year olds parents are no longer responsible for them either.
As for the topic there is a problem with breeding, that should be addresses, but I think when youve got a dude with two pits walking to you, you shouldnt provoke him/them for your/and your dogs safety....

Did the guy give you any clue that he was going to let his dogs off leash? I probably wouldn't have said anything to provoke him, but turned and went the other way. Or if that wasn't an option, made my dogs sit and "wait" until they passed by. We see a guy walking these TWO huge rottweilers who are very clearly NOT FRIENDLY and if I'm not able to get around them I make mine sit and wait until they pass. Anybody who knows Kody knows that's not an easy task Even though breeding pitbulls in your area is common (so sad and F'd up btw) just b/c the male was unaltered doesn't necessarily mean that they are breeding them. Unless you know them? Or have heard of them?

28 year olds are by far kids and should know better. I'm 31 and at 28 I was very much grown up. That's just adults being ignorant, stupid, and greedy!

Yea i would have ignored him and walked right by. BYB is in every community, i see it first hand working at a vet. It's disgusting, yes, but i would never call someone out on it in public. That's asking for a confrontation IMO. The most important thing you can do is educate. You can't change the people that do it now, but you can certainly influence those who don't know statistics or possible complications with pregnancy.

Sorry, I am 26, I was not sating being 28 is a child, What they are doing is childish, as they are not thinking of the welfare of these beautiful animals, just there pockets, I did not mean to insult you in anyways, its the behavior not so much the age which is childish, I had no time to walk away, he literally said he is friendly and dropped the leash, he was holding it as I was walking by and I was not yelling nasty at him, I was trying to educate him on what was going to happen being they where both two unaltered male dogs and one female, he thought he knew his dog better, granted he does, but I know that the dog is going to protect his Bitch from another male( iv been working with animals for awhile and have observed this behavior before). My dads dog was fine just startled, The dog was warning mine to back off(sad thing is my dog was cowered behind me and me being silly got between the two until the owner grabbed his) Once his dog jumped on mine, he said Ohh he has never done this before...I asked has he been around another unaltered male..Of course not... I have owned Pit Bulls, I never had this problem with them, MINE HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ALTERED AND PROPERLY SOCIALIZED though..IT scared me, I have a 4 year old little girl, thank God she was not walking with me because she would have been hysterical.(Note my dads dog was on a leash, this was by the playground where little kids play..)

He was holding the leash, so i proceeded to walk by, as i was passing he let go saying "He is friendly". I know for a fact he is breeding them because when I said he is not neutered yet, he said "Why neuter him he is purebred you can make money off the puppies, that's what I do with these two",(You can tell she just had a litter her nipples where swollen still) asshole comment, I tried to tell him why but was pissed about him dropping the leash as we where walking by...And at 28 you are suppose to be an adult, I am 26, had my daughter at 22 at 18 I knew better than this guy...ughh some people have no common sence..

Don't worry about the typos, you're just aggravated and typing fast. I am glad your dog was uninjured and I think you did the right thing by trying to warn the owner, its just too bad the owner didn't listen.

Yea, this is why I was so upset, He literally saw me walking by and released the leash, I am not a big person, I am 5'2 and 120, The dog weighed more than me, here I am trying to protect my dog, THANK GOD my 4 year old daughter was not with me, she would have been hysterical.
