2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.

Hey guys,
I'm sure you've heard about Hurricane Isaac. My boyfriends family and I are evacuating to Houston and I'll be needing to send Ruby to a sitter or perhaps board her since were forced to rent a hotel. Does anyone know of one I could possible send her to?

All La Quinta and Red Roof Inns are pet friendly. A quick google search will likely turn up more pet friendly hotels in Houston, and that way you don't have to board her. Good luck!

I'm in Houston. There are tons of La Quintas around here! Drury Inn is pet friendly too. Safe travels!!!

I've never boarded Juneau yet. There are a ton of kennels around here too. Camp Bow-wow in Kemah, TX lets you watch your dog on a doggy cam! There's Red Bluff Pet Resort in Pasadena, TX. I would google some good reviews. Hope I helped a little bit!

Please consider taking your pup. What if the boarding facility loses power, floods or the workers cant make it in. I wouldn't want to leave mine when so many hotels now allow pets.

Houston is pretty dog friendly. I'm from that area. Please do try to take your pup with you.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Or worse the storm gets really nasty and they just desert the kennel and leave the pups to fend for themselves.

Hi guys,
Ofcourse I'd take her with me!!!! That's ridiculous to consider not to. But I just arrived to Houston! We left New Orleans at 8pm. And I got here at 430am. Longest drive ever! But Ruby was great. We're staying at Days Inn which is pet friendly. :-) Thank you guys!

Yay! Also all Motel 6 are petfriendly - we had an adopter stay there when he picked up a husky from our rescue. He had 2 big dogs with him after he picked up Mufasa. Big dog friendly! Smile Good luck and stay safe!
