So we've been dealing with some digestive issues with Bode for a few weeks. He started having diarrhea and vomiting (just once on the vomit) so we took him to the vet. She gave us the Prescription Diet I/D canned stuff for a couple days plus some probiotics and an intenstinal medicine. He firmed right up on the I/D, but as soon as we added back in the TOTW Pacific Stream, it was horrible again. We have had a few nights where he was up every hour or so with the runs. So we got him on rice and boiled chicken for a couple days, and yesterday we were at full Nature's Domain Turkey and Sweet Potato, plus we've been giving him carrots for snacks. I just got back from being out for a couple hours and took him outside and he had a great poop. I was so excited I called my fiance and said "Bode just took a perfectly normal poop!!!!"

Oh the things we deal with for our furbabies!

Our husky is going through a similar bout. He was neutered a week ago, but it was a few days after his surgery that he vomited once. Today he's had massive runs and made a mess of his crate in the afternoon while we were at work. We find brown rice works well to get them back into good digestive health, but in particular, pumpkin. The pumpkin puree (E.D. Smith) in the baking aisle (not pumpkin pie filling) does magical things to improve digestive health when they get sick.

We give him pumpkin in his Kong, but I've never noticed it to make a significant difference for him.

Live culture yogurt sometimes works as well. Kale loves Greek yogurt (I usually let him lick the spoon when i make smoothies) lol.

Glad the nature doman seems to be working, yes it is odd to care so much about poop but we all do!

Haha we often made mid afternoon phone calls saying "SOLID POOP!!!" When we were dealing with worms when Tama was little...

Solid poop and wet noses is a happy puppy!

Ah yes....the poop talk....been there, done that, still do!
I kinda always chek out their poop - making sure it's not mucousy, or there's nothing in there that's not supposed be!
