| So I noticed that saya keeps nipping herself. She does not draw blood but I see that she playfully bites her tail or her paws or her stomach.I don't know if it is because her skin is itchy or because she is teething? She also scratch herself often. She does not have ticks or fleas. I noticed that sometimes when I command her to sit she will just sit and scratch herself. Maybe force of habit. I dont know what is wrong. Do you think she is doing it because her skin is dry? Or because she is teething? and the scratching any ideas? |

| What food is she being fed? It sounds like a skin irritation and if she doesn't have fleas or ticks, it's likely a food allergy.
As for biting/chasing her tail: that's a tell-tale sign of boredom. How often is she being walked, played with, or stimulated? _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| She is on Raw. She gets walker three times a day. About an hour each walk she is four months old we release her in the park and play with her and run. She also has chew toys that keep her entertained. She loves biting them. One of the thing that bugs me is that when I tell her to sit 6 times out of 10 she will scratch her self. So sometimes it makes me think that when I tell her to sit it triggers a scratch command or something |

| Haha well indeed that is what she does. Btw anybody here has an idea on how I can stop saya from jumping on people. Just now I was walking and I saw some lady walking towards my direction she was not looking. I moved to my right to prevent her from getting too close to saya but she still kept walking to my direction and saya jumped up, did not touch her, saya touched a plastic bag she was holding. Well the lady decided to be a drama queen and yell as loud as she could, I apologized to her but she still gave me this dirty look. Although I tried to prevent it, I feel like she was at fault for deciding to come towards us when she saw I was trying to move away. Well regardless what can I do to stop saya from jumping on people? |

| It still sounds like a diet thing. How many different proteins is she getting? Maybe try sticking to just chicken, or eggs for a day or two and see if the scratching goes down? Narrow down the foods you're feeding and monitor how that affects the scratching.
And in that situation, I would have simply politely asked the woman not to approach. There's nothing wrong with saying "I have a young dog who is learning manners. While she is friendly, could you please not approach us right now so I can work on her training? If you would like to pet her, please let me have her sit before you do so." Be up front with people and they will usually respect it. _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Thanks tori. And she was not approaching us to pet saya. she was just walking. she noticed I kept moving to my right, maybe she wanted to hit on me or something(just kidding) and decided to keep moving towards me well when saya jumps on she screams and then gives me a dirty look. I swear some people are too dramatic.
And she is only on chicken right now yesterday I gave her an egg. she gets chicken and liver |
