| Hey all, I'm posting for Laina Dotson (Lainaloo). Her boy Atka disappeared this afternoon from her yard in Enterprise, AL. He's about a year old, and black and white with brown eyes. Laina said he needs meds twice a day, and he is microchipped. I've crossposted on Facebook, but please keep this information going, especially if you know anyone in the Alabama, Georgia, or Florida areas. Thanks! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | For those not on FB.
Atka was waiting on Laina when she returned home from checking on a stray in the country side.
His spirits seem to be good. He has small scrapes on his back legs but other than that I think he's just dirty and tired. |

| Oh!!! So happy that Atka is back home!!! I, too, know that horrible feeling oh so well. Tundra is my first husky, and when I adopted him at a year and a-half, he would run run run!! He could shake his collar, or leash, and take off for the hills!! Only problem is, I lived in Las Vegas, and there were busy streets. Tundra would take off, flying across these busy streets, thinking it was a game, while I was in tears trying to catch him!! Huskies do like to run. Tundra is older now, and I now live in a rural place, but I will never forget that feeling I had when he would disappear. Once, in Vegas, on a walk, he shook his leash and was gone, running happily. I searched everywhere for him, listening for the screech of car tires, etc. I was so worried. We had just moved to a new house, several blocks from where he got loose. When I finally got home, there he was, at the door ...waiting for me!!! |
