Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| Well hello again - I don't know if I will be welcome back considering I am a complete 'bailer' Sorry I was missing - I got a bit p'eed off with the whole 'forum scene' but having just had a mooch about on here, I realised I missed you guys We have had an interesting few months - Ava had her first season - complete bloody nightmare (pardon the pun) with Dino slavering over her (even though he is fixed) and pulling her around by her tail! poor little girl. She too is going to be fixed very shortly. We have had the worst snow in donkeys years which made UK completely grind to a halt - cos we are all such wimps and cannot deal with it lol. I am having a crisis at work - being made to attend a GMC (general medical council) hearing to act as a witness against a Doctor who used to work with us - which I am finding very stressful - does anyone have any useful calming techniques they can pass on please, I would be very grateful. Oh and we had to have our Charlie cat put to sleep on 1st December - which was heartbreaking but unfortunately necessary - he was nearly 18. Apart from that we are all hunky dory |

| Cath!! You are more than welcome here! I welcome you with open arms!! I know what you mean about the forum scene... and I don't blame you. I am just glad that you're here again and hope that you will stay We had that same problem when we brought Hailey home. She was ending her heat and Koda kept trying to hump her like crazy. He still pulls her around by her tail though even though she is fixed! No one could prepare me for a dog in heat.... Blood everywhere... UGH, so not a fan and we got her fixed right away! Again, I am sorry about your Charlie cat and your mess at work! That does not sound like fun My method of calming down is a nice cup a tea, a book and a warm fire. Also works well in the snow I'm so glad you're here!! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Glad you're back! Forum scenes are usually best when observed from afar.
As far as calming techniques... It's taken me three years to develop the ability to just not care enough to get stressed. Still happens every now and then, but the axe and a log in the backyard bear the brunt of my frustrations. Works particularly well with a dull axe too. |

| Welcome back Cath! my best stress reliever is the gym for a good session of weight lifting or in the summer a nice long hike. can't wait to see new pics of your two! _________________ |

| I think all of us veterans from the original forum have had a hard time with new forums just because of all that went on. I'm glad you're back here- it's hard for us to talk since we are both busy and you are on the other side of the world! Now if you would kindly send my Dino back to his rightful home, with me, things would truly be honky dory! |
