| When I went to pick up Champ from the breeder I took the drive out with my girlfriend. She was the one to hold him in a blanket on the ride home. What I have been noticing is that my pup seems to show a lot more excitement and affection to my girlfriend and sometimes with my sister over me! Now the only explanation I can possibly give is that because I am the alpha male and the enforcer that Champ is more affectionate to the women in my family. It is very odd though considering that I teach him his commands, feed him, take him out and when I walk in the door I don't get the reception, excitement, and yelps that Champ gives when my girlfriend walks in the door. Lol can someone tell me the deal here? Are male Huskies born womanizers ? |

| Saphire always seemed to lean toward my daughter for the first month and a half after we brought her home (until about 4 months) and I wondered the same thing. But now that she is absolutely my pup. She will show affection excessively to others until I walk in the room. Just keep doing what your doing, give lots of affection and it will be okay! |

| Blaze is my Husband's more than mine Of course he is not very affection. Blaze is a very laid back Husky.
Now Kerian is affection to both of us but she is more of people dog than Blaze. |

| Our huskies have always liked everyone, including the kennel workers at the dog kennel, better than those of us in their own family! We've never had a husky run to greet us when we come home...unless we are bringing friends home with us. We have always thought that ours have the personality of a cat. |

| Willow is that way with my son. I don't exist when he stops by! But my first dog was that way with me and ignored my son so I guess it's only fair. |

| Balon loves everyone in the house, and there are 5 of us here. My 20 year old son is the dog care provider, hes the one home most so when the rest of us are working he is it! He cuts Balon's nails and does bathtime (how he can stand that I don't know lol). Both dogs love him very much! But I don't think they love him more then us. Both dogs run to the door for each of us when we come home! I can go to get the mail come back in and he greets me like I've been gone for days lol. Balon is a very affectionate dog! He loves people! All people, he will lick you to death no preferences! |

| Titus and Lycan are always more of mine than my partner's. They obey my partner too must I seem to get all the affection. I get all the kisses and hugs when I come home. I get the morning kisses first before my partner. Titus is so protective that he will not let people walk behind me. I told my partner to 'attack' me once and Titus growls at him even when he's afraid (he knows he is not suppose to growl at us). Even puppy Lycan is barking and woo-wooing. I guess some of them just pick on who they like. |

| How long was the drive home? I'm wondering if it's because your girlfriend was holding him in the blanket, so maybe to him, she was the one ensuring that he was feeling safe? That's what created the insta-bond between me and my puppy. He was stuck to my husband when we went to visit him a few times before picking him up, but as soon as we were done the car ride home (where I was holding him / cuddling him), he was stuck to me. He is also SUCH a suck for any woman showing him attention. Now it's evened out a lot more - just give it some time. |

| Our puppy loves everyone as well, most of the time. She follows me around everywhere including the bathroom. But she loves my boyfriend just as much and will sometimes follow him around, it all depends on her mood I assume. I do most of the feeding, taking her potty, training, etc so maybe she favors me more because I am with her more? I also like to think I am the alpha.
On our drive home, which was 6 hours, I held her the whole way. She even decided on her ride home to walk across the truck seat and relieve herself on my boyfriend's leg, I figured that was a bad sign. But she loves us both the same and greets us at the door, mauling us over with kisses. |
