I got a bit camera happy yesterday.

I went to check out an off leash area near by. It is fenced in which is nice, but no one else was there. Char had fun tearing around and playing fetch with a stick. I snapped this after he was worn out! He is 16 weeks today and weighed in at 24.4 lbs at the vet.

If DNA is to be believed he is 82% or greater Siberian Husky and 9% or less of each chihuahua and pekingese. I was shocked when boarder collie wasn't listed. Then again there are pure bread huskies with this coloring.

That much I am very aware of. My youngest boy is a dirty faced husky, but not as heavily pigmented as Char. There is a member on here that has a beautiful girl, Kitty, that is mostly solid black from racing lines. I have also seen a few solid dark red. Very gorgeous dogs.

Okay so I finally got my pictures of Char uploaded so I can share.

This first picture is actually of Char's brother. When we went to the SPCA to see Char he was already on hold for adoption so we met his brother David and decided to put in an application on him.


He is just shy of 2 months in this picture. After we were approved we found out that both puppies had Cryptosporidium infections so we were unable to bring him home. Finally almost 3 weeks later we got the call that we could bring him home and here is a pictures of the two brothers together.



We found out that Char ( then Dan) was no longer under a hold for adoption and after playing with both dogs we decided to take him as he was more laid back then his brother and we thought his temperament was a better match for our family. As you can see he was a lot smaller than his brother as well. That is my cousin in the picture BTW. They are 11 weeks in this picture.

This past week, almost 7 months. He is now frequently on the sofa with my husband.

Took some pictures today with a real camera, all my other ones have been with my phone.
