Any last minute hints and tips?!

Pictures to follow...don't know how to upload them from my iPhone even tho I have loads already?!

I'm one happy new owner!!x

Congrats on the new puppy!

Tip- Try to see if the breeder will hold her for at least another week or two. I got both of my pups just under 8 weeks and I seriously wish I would have waited the extra week or two. They learn a lot from their siblings during that time. It will save you a lot of future post's "why is my puppy biting" and thing's of that nature.

Welcome & get ready for a wild ride of Husky ownership!

Hi and thank you I cannot wait!

The owner has her for another 10 days so she will be just under 10 weeks when I get her. She was purchased from a breeder at 6 weeks but he current owner found out she was pregnant and doesn't think havin a puppy is the right thing for her with another young child too. The breeder would not take her back.

At the moment she is living with a 10 month old husky who she plays with non stop. I know this is not her mum but I'm hoping that the interaction will still be teaching her at such a young age?

Smile

Thanks for the article was an interesting read. Looks like I'll have to start with some basics when I get her now that she is at that age Smile

I can't actually remember the rule of thumb for walking...is it five minutes for every one month old?

What beautiful dogs you have! I feel terrible about how upset she will be when I take her from her friend (blix) but I intend to get another husky in the future Smile

If you plan on doing crate (which we did with Luna), don't give up!! I promise your puppy will cry and howl and just make an all around commotion. But be strong, Luna loves the crate now and when we leave for the few hours during the day we do, we know she doesn't hurt anything but more importantly doesn't hurt herself!! Congrats on your new addition, Luna was our first and we have not regretted her once!
