My name is Dan, we have 2 crazy 12 week old husky girls. Aside from going nuts trying to keep up with them I work part time out of my home as a 3D modeler/animator/ Digital artist and part time as a nurse.

Our plan is to enter the girls in Rally O and introduce them to sledding. I have been trying to get a hold of a representitive from the local AKC club, but they do not seem to answer emails, BUT we do plan on joining the Siberian Huky Club of Greater Detroit.

These are not my first Huskys, we had one when I was a kid. Though they are a handfull, I wouldn't have it any other way, I just need to buy more socks. Have you ever seen a dog actually EAT a sock (well just the toe and she did bring it back up)?

We just keep an eye on them and make sure our teen age son keeps his bedroom door closed. He's the one notorious for leaving dirty socks on the floor. The leave the clean ones alone. I think they like his foot stink.

Socks are a common husky fettish I find. Luckily we've escaped that problem with Koda! I know of someone else who's husky DID eat the whole sock and had to get his stomach pumped... stupid dogs!

Luckily, everything is all smoothed out now. It's been years now since we've had any issues.

Our husky ate socks and loved them but always threw them up. He ate just about anything though. He eventually started growing out of it we he got close to 2.

Our girls are caged usually when were away. they are getting bigger now so we do let them stay down on the landing, but they can't destroy much down there. Bored Husky = Destroyed property

Heh, more like "stupid owner who had always adopted adult dogs gets a one year old Malamute, chaos ensues". It took a treadmill, 50 pounds of free weights, a hallway, a 120 pound toolbox, 9 gauge fencing reinforcements, two padlocks and a piece of rebar to keep him contained in a crate. That is now happily in the past and the crate is gathering dust somewhere in the shed.

we have a BIG sock problem! its almost under control now though...our pup wanted to eat all of them! and she is FAST and will grab one up and in a split second it will be gone! no chewing involved just whole sock! down the hatch! and if she doesnt throw it back up...well you know where it goes! it takes her a few days but she digests it and it comes out in a new poop form! gross! but i know its not good for her so we are still working on this! she is 5 months today and still wants to eat your socks! so...juts patience is all i can say on the sock theory

well we just have to keep the bathrrom door closed and constantly remind our 17yr old to do the same...Its usually his socks they find. Kiki isn't so bad, but Keira will eat anythign soft, my wife thought she was being nice and brought home these 2 plush rings, in under 5 min keira had it open the squeaker out and was eyeing up Kiki's to destroy next. We had an old comforter that they laid down on on the landing, that went out this morning as I found stuffing everywhere. I think we will stick with Kongs and BullySticks
