| So i just saw a flea on Khuno... i'm fairly confident his frontline will kill it, i just put another treatment on him as it was time. My question is..
What do you all do to prevent/treat fleas in the house? I have a small 1 bedroom apartment, so i want to make sure my apartment doesn't get infested with fleas, even though khuno should be fine with his meds, I don't want to be bothered by fleas haha.
thanks all!

| We spray our house with an IGR or Insect Growth Regulator. It's non toxic and safe to be used around children and pets. I use a product called Nylar. |

| I'm just going to tag along here with my question.
My parents are out of town for a month and their house has fleas. I just sprinkled a thin layer of diatomaceous earth around their house. The store I bought it from said to keep the stuff on the floors for 3 days, then vacuum up, and then repeat 7 days later to make sure you get any newly hatched fleas. Since no one is going to be there anyway, do I really need to vacuum up the stuff after 3 days or can I just leave it down for the whole month and vacuum it then and not have to repeat? _________________ -Sara |

| I would vacuum it. Vacuuming regularly helps to keep the flea population down, because their eggs are usually in the carpet or any cracks in the floor. |

Plus if the vac is a bag type be sure to replace with a new bag, else the eggs hatch in the vac (it happens) and you re-infest the house again. Also a heads up on flea killing "dust" products, I highly recommend wearing a dust mask when you vac it up as I didn't do so once and it knocked flat with one of the most severe sinus infections I ever had. |

| We use an organic pest control spray-you can find it at WalMart in the garden/bug area. It smells awesome and you can use it in the house and outside. Great stuff. We have had awesome results with you! |
