| I've had a lot of people tell me my high energy pup needs a job. I guess they mean like pulling a sled. We take her walking/running twice a day for an hour each time. While out she gets to hunt mice and gophers. Is that considered a job? Do any of y our pups have jobs? If so what are they? |

| I would say that Saphire believes her job is to entertain me. She is always doing silly things and trying to get my attention (which isn't bad until its time to cook dinner . . . she about took out a pot of boiling water last night and the handle was turned in . . . guess its time to start cooking on the back burners only ). Other than that she doesn't have a job and she is just fine. |

| Rio doesn't have a job, but Kya is a service dog. We are still working on training but she is pretty good at what she does Most people (who are knowledgeable on dogs) mean a task that they can do (like a trick, or a toy that will keep them entertained) to wear off the energy. When I first got Kya, my sister said the same thing, and I was like Um.... no. She then explained to me to train her to DO something, like fetch, or playing doggie basketball (yes they sell the set ups). Something to keep her mind entertained and her energy at bay. |

| I would say most huskies are landscapers or interior designers if don't keep them busy... Those are jobs most are good at., |

| I give Kale puzzle toys and things that will make him think and use his problem solving skills. It' not necessarily a "job" but it does the trick |

| Well Balon's job lately has been costing my money lol (eating a shipping bag and getting neutered)
Seriously though his and Ruby's job is to make me forget a bad day at work, to have my buds to keep me company when everyone else is out, to have 4 ears that just listen and don't judge.
When they get older (and calmer lol) I would like both of them to get their CGC's and then maybe do some therapy work with them, that is my goal. But if they don't make it, it's ok! |

| Very true about landscaping and interior design. All of these suggestions are great! She acts like someone has trained her to do something like hunt. She will check holes in the ground for critters if you tell her to. She also knows a lot of commands sit shake high five army crawl ect.. it's strange to me to spend all that time with an animal for it to end up in the shelter. I guess we benefit from it because she completes our life! We feel so lucky to have found her! |
