Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect.
2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.

Hey, I am just wondering if any one else's husky have some sort of music that really calms them. Lately I have been noticing that when I play music in the car or at home my dog will go nuts and run around chewing everything. But once I start to play country music, he settles right down and will lie beside me and eventually drift off to sleep. It's the weirdest thing ever. He loves it, when it turns off he gets up and looks around, like he is wondering why it stopped. I am just wondering if anyone else has noticed this in their dog?!

I actually have Dan Gibson's Solitudes - Wild Wolf. It is one of those spa type cd's with wolf sounds. I use to play a similar one when I worked in a daycare during nap time. It worked for the kids and it works for the pups.


Shania wasn't allowed to listen to metal when home alone. She would move the furniture around. bounce

Last evening at the local town park they had the community band playing various tunes. I had Adobo & Biko with me and at various marching band music Adobo would start to howl with the music. That had to be the first time I can ever remember her howling, she "talks" all the time but never howled. Oh by the way the audience thought it was funny as hell and several applauded her.

I play alot of Enya on my computer while working. (I understand I should turn in my "man card") Anyway Juno loves to just curl up next to me and relax while listening to this. Very Happy

I've been studying to movie scores since I was in middle school, and have continued that habit since I've gone back to school. Ghost just curls up on the couch next to me and snoozes while I study (which we are doing right now) Cool

I'd suggest Mozart's requiem, Bach's B Minor Mass and anything by Brahms, specifically his music about Clara Schumann (He was in love with her, but she was married to Robert Schumann).

If you need any suggestions, I'd be happy to help.

I'll have my degree in Music in 3 months.
