Cinnamon Applesauce OK to use in Kong? Empty
PostSubject: Cinnamon Applesauce OK to use in Kong?   Cinnamon Applesauce OK to use in Kong? EmptyThu Jul 19, 2012 1:39 am

Hiya.

I've been wanting to try the yogurt/applesauce/berries/peanut butter kong-filled treats for my Juneau. I'd freeze it. I only have Motts Cinnamon Applesauce right now. Would Cinnamon be okay to stuff with in the kong, or does it have to be the original one? I haven't filled it yet, I want to hear y'alls opinion on this. My bf also says the yogurt will smell after a while. Is that true? I didn't think so if it was frozen...

Thanks!

Smile

Cinnamon is fine - they actually love it! Are there any other ingredients in there?

Trust me - the yogurt won't last long enough to smell. Smile

Oh! I was worried that dogs have a certain allergy to cinnamon or something lol. Nope, it's just the cinnamon applesauce. I bought a six-pack of it so I could take it with my lunch. Looks like I have a second use now. Smile

Good! She definitely needs to be entertained while I'm trying to work. She's always wanting attention. I want to purchase some bully sticks this weekend, maybe she'll like those.

I'll add plain yogurt on my grocery list. Smile

Thank you for your help, Sam! Juneau will thank you tomorrow. Razz

Definitely supervise her on the bully sticks - but I leave them unattended with the kongs in their crates. We also put pureed canned pumpkin in their kongs, the unspiced kind. They love it and it's a great source of fiber! Smile
