Hi I just bought my Husky a few days ago (Sora) & he is such a blessing and I love him. He's 8 weeks old and cute as heck. He has one blue eye and one brown/grey eye.

I was just wondering if there are any tips for new husky owners & if there is any help with crate training (he cannot stop crying in his crate).

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new puppy. Take some time to look around as there are lots of threads about nutrition and training and crate trainging on here to help.

Welcome! Your pup is cute. Smile

Most dogs will cry for the first week, there isn't really anything you can do about that. :/ I let mine out constantly to go potty. I also layed down with her too, LOL.

If you have a ticking clock laying around, set that on top of the kennel. Or play some soft music for him from your ipod.

He also likes your scent. Maybe leave a worn t-shirt in your kennel for him.

Look around! There are a lot of nice people around here. Good luck.

Awesomely cute puppy! when i crate trained khuno, i made him love his kennel. I trained him by saying "kennel" and rewarding him for going into it. As soon as i did this, he stopped crying in his kennel and started to go into it when ever he wanted a nap.

i also put his kennel in my bedroom... so when he wakes up he can look at me and know i'm still there Smile But after a year of being in his kennel, i can put it any where and he'll be fine.
