I would not be concerned feeding raw to a pup, even with giardia. If it makes you feel better continue your bland diet while finishing off the meds and move to raw after.

I'm keeping him on a bland diet for a few more days, I went to the store and chicken quarters were on sale, could I feed him those to start? or is there not enough bone to meat ratio? I bought some anyway, if he can't eat them yet I can always cook them at .99/pound I couldn't say no!

That's a great price. From what I've gathered, they are perfectly okay to feed the first day. What are you assuming for mature weight? We feed Cato under the assumption that he will grow to be 55 pounds. He seems to be plenty full now. He even eats slower, way slower than he did on kibble.

Rue weighs about 24 pounds currently at 4 months and 1 week. So I am going to assume he will be around 55 pounds as well. I think I will start feeding about 2.5% of his ideal weight, does that sound right?

He's gonna stay on carrots and eggs for a day, I want to see if that will help his poo issues and if it does we shall move to a raw diet later this week.
