| Excellent! Great to know. Right now my floors are a mixture of ceramic tile and berber carpeting -- tile in the bathrooms, kitchen, front hallway & dining room, berber everywhere else. Any idea how well it would handle the berber? Plus, would it have trouble transitioning from one type of flooring to another?

| I have a Bissel robot vacuum and it is amazing. Suka and Cain are both blowing their coats at the moment and I would be insane without it. Mine automatically vacuums twice a day (my husband is home for lunch so he empties it out before it vacuums again in the late afternoon) so I don't come home to whirlwinds of hair every evening. It does an excellent job of going under the dining room table and chairs and all around everything else.
Suka and Cain don't pay any attention to it but our two senior Yorkies hate it with a passion! It is fairly quiet and sometimes it sneaks up on the poor old girls!
I only have experience with the Bissel brand but I would highly recommend it....as long as your furbaby is completely potty trained!

| Does Bissel do different models of their robots like the other bot vacs do? I know with roomba you need to have the higher numbered model to really get the performance our dogs hair demands. I like the price on the Bissel. _________________ |

| Mine is the Bissel SmartClean 1605. My husband got this for me so I really don't know how much research he did....I just looked on Amazon and the reviews aren't all that great but I have had nothing but good luck with mine. The Bissel certainly looks a little more budget friendly that the others. |

| I have a roomba and I have to supervise it. A few weeks ago I walked into the room and it was eating Lokis tail fur. His dumb butt was just watching it happen, too. Fortunately his fur is so long that it didn't eat that much before it shut down, which is probably why he didn't feel it so much. But nonetheless I don't run the roomba when he is taking a nap anymore and keep a close eye on it when he's in the room with it. |

| Danielle, hilarious! Oh, no!
I want a robovac, but heard undercoat kills it, so now I'll set about researching the ones everybody mentioned, thanks!
The bedroom is a constant problem for some reason, so I really want one. Hauling out the vacuum every day is not fun--I've taken to watching Netflix with my earphones in to tolerate it. But I've had dogs with undercoats all my life, and wouldn't know what to do with fur-free floors. Haha Hopefully I'll find out once a robot does my housework. |

| Chris - only recently have I discovered what I consider a miracle for getting undercoat off carpets...quickly, easily and thoroughly. We have old, plush, wall to wall in our bedroom and a wooly mammoth that sleeps there every night. It was becoming a nightmare with husband threatening divorce or a housekeeper out of my meager ss check. Do one day, being something to brush borax into carpet for odor control, I hauled out the brush that came with resolve carpet cleaner (I was not impressed with the cleaner and had stashed it away as useless)
Lo and behold, that long handed brush acts somewhere between as miracle and a rake, pulling up all that fur with ease. Just a slow pulling ox the brush across the carpet and handfuls of fur combs up, pull it up, stuff it in my adoption pocket, 5 minutes later, no fur on carpet, dump the wad in the trash and...Voila! Happy husband.

| That will work wonders on my dining room rug, Amy, thanks! I have tile and hardwoods everywhere else because I had the choice. Haha But I was too in love with the rug to dump it like the rest, and of course Grant spends hours lounging on it every day! |

| I used to spend hours raking up hair with a squeegee when I had carpet still. Was the best thing I ever found to pull it up. The longer handled squeegees for cleaning windows. Would just pull it across the carpet in short bursts and roll the hair up. Getting rid of carpet was the best thing I ever done. _________________ |

| I would love you have tile. Husband is not amenable. For hard floors, I love a swiffer dry cloth. Between these two tools, vacuuming only needs once to twice per week.
That squeegee idea sounds good, too, Jenn. Just don't have a squeegee.
Now...if I could just find a quick, easy de-furrer for clothing! |
