| Today makes two weeks sence I drove to Washington to get Timber. He was covered in dirt, locked in a little dog run, and the person who had him was not fond of him. I knew from the minute they let him out he was going to be the missing piece to our family. First thing he did was say hi to the kids. No jumping but tail wagging fast giving them kisses faster than they could ask for them. He came and laid by my feet and it was over. My heart melted! Brought him home, took him to a groomer, set up an appointment with his new vet. Bought every book I could on huskys and spent hours of sleepless nights learning about the best food, the right crate, toys he would like, activities everything that I could put into my brain. I can't believe its only been two weeks. I feel like he has been ours from the day he was born. The way he runs to me already like he knows I'm his mom, the way he "checks" on the kids while they are sleeping. The I love you husky talk every morning. He gives me hugs as I call them. Snuggles with me everywhere I lay. Rehoming a dog is always a tough thing and I feel bad for dogs that have to be sent away from what they thought was there forever home, but I thank god that he needed a new home! I can't belive he is our forever! Two weeks and he's already my 4th son and best friend! I can't even imagine what its going to be like next month, next year, or even 5 years from now.
I'm so glad to have him and this forum. Everyone is always so kind, willing to answer any questions, and even just letting me post my silly stories about him. Has it really only been two weeks? |

| It really is. Think my husband feels blessed also lol I was starting to get baby fever 0_0 not such a good thing considering we already have three boys Timbers my new baby. But now I have husky fever! I think in our house hunting the next year a large back yard is in order, and a play mate or two I always wanted a big family. Never imagined it being half boys half dogs... Now that's all I see. |

I understand Husky fever After I got my first one I wanted a second one finally talked my Husband into getting a second one. Kerian is 2 years old and was in a shelter waiting for a forever home.. I love having two. Enjoy then.. Now you need a female so you are not out numbered in the household. |

| Awwww - thank you for rescuing him! They definitely steal your hearts whether they are 8 weeks old or 8 years old! And they adapt so quickly to their new homes - they can definitely tell when your heart is in the right place! So happy to hear he's doing well and that you TRULY appreciate the husky spirit! |

| Thanks for letting me share I have a lot to work with him on but I know he will get it soon. He started going to the bathroom in the boys room. I read it could be because no one hardly ever goes in there. Latly the boys have been sleeping in my room because of some family issues. So I think ill move his crate up there. Have him sleep in the room with the boys (crates of corse I don't want am accident) maybe putting his smell up there will stop the behavior. Also he seems to not be eating much. It's about every other day. Haven't desired if its because its so hot outside so one he's hot and two he's been less active. Or of there is a problem. I'm not to worried tho because other than eating he behavior and personality is up beat and normal. Hoping we all settle in to our regual routine very soon! First visitors come in two weeks 0_0 we will see how he does. |
