Well, yesterday I got my very first husky, it's a she and I named her "Luna".
I always wanted to own one husky, they simply fascinating me, I know I can handle her, even though I work 7 hours every day (Im also a drawer, so I draw stuff for my clients), I still got plenty of time for her, When I'm gone, my Mother takes care of her, like, plays with her and that.
Okay, so here is what I would like to know.
She is about 10/11 weeks old and I want to take a walk with her tomorrow, about 8 in the morning. Is that okay?
Before taking a walk, what does she need to eat in the first place? I also decided to bring some water with me, maybe she'll get thirsty, the tempature in the morning is about 13 to 16 ° C
I also decided to train her tomorrow, like, giving her first command: "Sit" I do not want to confuse her nor do I want to give her more than one command. Im a pretty confident and patient guy.

I wouldn't take her on any full on walks until shes's got a few DHLPP shots. Parvo is something that she is very susceptible to right now and i would hate for her to get sick. I'd start with the training as soon as possible.

Welcome! I agree with Brooke, start training as soon as you can. You'll be amazed at how quickly they learn things. I'd love to see some pictures of Luna, too!

Welcome! No need for walks with a puppy that young. You'll at least want to wait until she has all her puppy shots first and I wouldn't take a puppy for very long walks until they are at least 6 months old. Do some training at home and just let her romp around the house and backyard. Puppies get tired quickly and should be allowed to sleep the majority of the day. But you can take her places where other dogs don't normally go (like a hardware store) to let her start getting socialized and used to other people. Don't put her on the ground much to keep the chance of diseases lower. Congrats on your new puppy!

At 10/11 weeks, I would say parvo is a very important issue. You will not know that your pup has parvo until about a week after she gets it. She can get parvo by coming into contact with another dog that has parvo or even just sniffing at the grounds where a parvo dog once pee or poo. But training and socialising her in the early stage is also important.

I got Titus when he was close to five months old. The irresponsible breeder only gave him his first shots, kept him in the backyard his whole life and feeding him table scraps because he was the last pup in the litter. Because of that his socialising skills are terrible. He tried to snap at strangers that touched him. I did not care about the chance of getting parvo. Brought him for walks everyday, trying to socialise him with others. I spent 9 months doing that. And now at 14 month old he is a lot better than we first got him. Fortunately he did not get parvo.

I recently got a Malamute. He is 9-10 weeks old. Have him for 1-2 weeks. Only have his first shots. I don't want him to be like Titus so I brought him for short walks everyday but kept him away from other dogs. I also started his training earlier because at this age they learn things really fast. Lycan can sit, drop, come and stay on his bed when I told him to. I have never use a leash on him...yet.

So, it's actually your choice whether to take the chance or not. If you wait for Luna to get all her shots (3) she should be 18 weeks before she is fully covered. Getting parvo is something that I don't want to happen but having an unsocialised dog pulling like crazy on your leash is more of an issue. Cheers.

A good place is a good puppy class. Ones that make sure all dogs that enter their property is vaccinated against diseases. You can feel fairly safe at those classes. I took Elara to puppy class at 8 weeks and she did fine. I think I took Siku when she was 12 weeks old.

Yeah, I started with the training today, I did spent a lot of time with her today, played with her and then she looked really exhausted so she got some sleep. I heard somewhere: "If it's tired, it means he's/she's happy", is that true?
To be honest, she slept for good 5/6 hours or so. After then, when I visited her (I heard she started to howl a little bit) which means, she's saying that she feels lonely? Correct me if Im wrong.
Well, after she saw me, she started to jump around like crazy, left paw, right paw and on and on, she was full of energy, it was crazy lol.

Puuuh, I took a walk with her for 5 minutes or so then get back to home, she liked it, but 5 minutes, thats it, no more. It was quite of hot today.

Yeah, as I said above, I took a 5 minute walk with her, she started to sniff on the ground a little bit, then I took her back to the backyard after she did that.
But here comes a little problem. When I walk with her, she would not pull me, she doesnt even do that, but yet she would go to my side, like Im on the left, holding the leash and she would come to my side, I put her gentle to the side where she have to walk or I would say: "No, no". Am I doing this right?
