Here you go. Post up the things that us seasoned veterans consider common sense.

I'll start it off:

If a child comes up and wants to pet your dog make it a point to ask the parents permission, then show the child to first put it's hand out to let your dog sniff it before allowing the child to pet the dog.

This is probably more common courtesy,

If you have you dog off leash, and it runs towards another dog at the park, especially an on leash dog, don't just stay on the other end of the park on you cell phone. Also, if you even think your dog is remotely aggressive, do not have him/her off leash in a park.

Well this is along the same lines as both of these, but:

-Once the child has allowed to dog to sniff his/her hand, do NOT let the child pet the dog's face. Kids can't always tell the difference between a good touch and a bad touch. Instead, gently take the child's hand and have him/her pet the dog's shoulder/neck. Teaching a child to go towards a dog's face is teaching the child to speak aggressively in the dog's language.

-When meeting other dogs either have both dogs leashed or both dogs loose. Never take your eyes off your dog for a second. Even if your dog is not in the wrong, you should take your dog out of a bad situation immediately instead of letting anything escalate.

-Dogs bite at each other's ears and try to pin each other as a sign of dominance. With a husky, it is a lot harder to read body language since huskies play rough and can often look/sound like they are about to kill each other, but are really just in play. The best thing to do is watch the tails of the two dogs. ...and I'm going to refer to justme's post below because she does a much better job of describing the tails than I!

Its all in the WAY the tail is wagging.
If its held high and wagging frantically the they are playing and happy.
If th tail is held lower and is wagging slightly slower they are unsure of what is happening ....this is when to be ready to jump in at any second.
If they hold the tail down and its wagging from side to side slowly then seperate them.
The fur on the back is a good indication of aggression but before that look for these signs.
An aggressive dog will stand high on his feet making him look taller , you will see his shoulders getting tense and he will start walking into the other dog from the side kind of shoulder barging.

My rules to approaching other dogs.. Keep you dog on a short leash.
ALWAYS approach th other dog from an angle and never face on where the dogs can have eye contact.
ALWAYS allow the dogs to sniff each other whilst keeping an eye on the tails and the feet.
Once you are sure then let them play on leash for at least 10 minutes before feeling sure they will be fine together
Even then keep an eye out for the signals of aggression.

If you go to pet a dog, and the owner says, "only if he is sitting, I am trying to teach him not to jump up." Don't say, "it's ok, I dont mind" and then go over and get the dog even more excited.

If someone seems unsure of your dog, don't just say "it's ok, he's friendly." Contain your dog and make sure you are in full control, and let the person know you are in full control. Dogs can sense uncertianty and they may react differently then you might think.
