| What temperature do you leave your A/C at for your husky when you leave for work?
I leave Mia in my bedroom in her crate and have the ceiling fan spinning at full speed to circulate the air and like to leave the temp on the A/C between 75-77F. |

| usually, if i leave any water in Mia's crate, she thinks it's a nanoswimming pool and tries to dive in it. I'm just left with her soaked in water, water splashed on the carpet, and a tray of water in the crate....not fun to clean after a long day at work. haha |

| I don't go to work, but when I have to leave Okami in her kennel when I run quick errands, I leave the house at 80F, with the fan blowing directly at her kennel from 5 feet away. Maybe it's because she's still a puppy and doesn't have as thick of a coat, but she seems fine with this setting. When I'm at home and she's with me, the house is at 82F. Yes, it sounds REALLY hot and it did get some getting used to for both of us, but the downstairs of our house is usually cool even in the summer at 82F. |

| House is always around 76-78. They stay in the kitchen on the tile most of the time. _________________ Force Free Training ThreadCheyenne, Mishka, Mickey, Rodeo, & Odin Are you a Husky owner in South Florida?! Join our facebook meetup group! |

| During the summer months it depends on the humidity levels. If humidity and dew points are low, I tend to keep the AC off until it reaches 80+. If it is muggy outside, I will keep the AC set at 70-72 degrees. |

| I usually keep the house set between 68-72 degrees year round, I have noticed that is helps the shedding a little, having a constant temperature...maybe thats just me convincing myself of that but it works. I personally cant sleep well if it is too hot, and the dogs sleep with me, So I dont feel like having the vibrating bet from the panting. I think its all personal preference. |

| Oh gosh, we keep the house at like 69 degrees year round. Now I feel like a freak. Although it's more for the hot blooded boyfriend than the dog. lol. |

| I am a diva when it comes to heat, I prefer the cold. (Maybe that's why I chose a northern breed?)
In the winter we keep it really low, typically about 62, and even 60 at night.
The summer I can't keep it that low, but I wish. We keep it around 72. |

| I wish we could keep the house that low. In July and August around here, we simply cannot keep our house below 82. The AC units just can't keep up with the humidity here, but ours seems to be the worst of anyone we know around here. The best we can do is about a 15 degree differential from the outside temp when it's super hot. Right now we can maintain about 77-78 during the day, but in the next few weeks that's going to change big time. I can't wait to live back north where I can keep the house at a livable temperature... _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | We do about 75 to 80 during the day, but we have ALL of our fans going ALL the time. We can't go much lower then that, because even at that temp, we already have a 250 dollar electric bill. (And we have a tiny house. Texas heat SUCKS).
Is Mia's crate wire or the plastic kennel? We found that they stay MUCH cooler in the wire crates. |
