Did I just rip her fur out with a deshedding tool or furminator knock off?
We thought she was blowing her coat b.c her hair was starting to shed pretty bad so I used this brush on her. But then I was told she's way too young to start to blow. She's 2 months and 3 weeks. I can get a pic of the brush if anyone needs a close up of it.

Kairi did something similar a few weeks ago and she is five months old now. I don't think it was a full coat blow but we brush her twice daily and continue to get a brush full each time. I also find lovely fur balls floating around on my hardwood floors daily haha. I'm assuming they are just losing some of their soft puppy hair but hers has slacked off quite a bit. So far she has kept her soft, fluffy coat though

Yea but is it too soon to use that brush? Am I ripping her fur out and making myself think she's blowing her coat?

We use a slicker brush with a fur release button. The brush looks fine to me but I'm not an expert I'm afraid. I think as long as you steer clear of the furminator until she is a little older it should be fine. We had to try a few different brushes until we found one Kairi liked.

Could it just be normal shedding? We started to notice small amounts of shedding a few weeks after getting Q. I'm thinking that when he blows his coats it's going to come out in chunks. He is my first Husky, so I'm learning too.

Yes I think so. I think I'm using a brush that is pulling it out. I need to be using a regular brush just to get the loose hairs. Oops!

That brush (undercoat rake) doesn't rip the hair out. its one of the best brushes to use

love that brush, works great on sierra's bloomers (butt area/back legs) claudia has a cool one where the pins spin to make it easier on the coat. if your getting that much fur off when was the last time you brushed her? it could be her puppy coat and the heat making her shed that much. we also use a shed n blade and a furburster (walmart)

*blushes* I've only brushed her a few times just to get her use to the brush. Didn't think she'd be shedding so young. Still learning here

You are all good, its been interesting getting used to puppy stuff for me too.
Cato gets Brushed and sometimes i get a few clumps. I think that it also depends on your climate. In Michigan its been so hot, I think that it might just be kicking in a little early.
Don't worry you are definitely using the right tool!

It just turned really hot here today so that probably explains why it's suddenly starting to do that. Thanks guys
