| Your friend needs to be nominated for the TV show What Not To Wear. Dress, running shoes and a thermal jacket?! Glad your little social event went well though! _________________ Posts made by me are not associated or approved by itsahuskything.com. Glad your little social event went well though! She was on her way out to buy new clothes actually... she just finished chemo and because the cancer is gone she gained a ton of weight and didn't have any clothes that fit her comfortably anymore. Smooth Chad |

| LOL. Sandy actually dresses very well... when she has options. She plans on losing the weight now that she's done with her chemo and getting her life back to normal. She was just buying clothes in the interim. Man... I hope she never sees this-- she would die. I guess I shouldn't have posted such a horrible picture of her!! |

| No offense, but chemo can cause you to gain weight? I thought it was the other way around? |

| Chemo will kill your healthy appetite. What happened in her case is that the chemo gave her a "hangover" like feeling. Thus, she ate junk food throughout the entire procedure. However, the chemo, combined with the cancer eating at everything she ingested caused her to LOSE weight. Once the chemo effectively killed the cancer, everything she ingested became just that- ingested food that packs on pounds. Her pattern of behavior remained the same until the chemo ended (and her "hangover" appetite for junk food ceased). Without the cancer there to eat up the pounds, she gained a lot of weight. Now that the cancer and the chemo are gone- she is eating normally but maintaining an unhealthy weight. Thus- she bought new clothing for the interim and will begin losing weight in a healthy way. Until then... she needs to wear something and feel comfortable and look nice while doing it. |

| Actually Tori I was so busy looking at the dogs I didn't notice your friend and her attire! I think for someone who is recovering from cancer she looks great - hope she is well on the road to recovery |

Unfortunately I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer exactly 13 years ago last Friday. She did not go through any of that. My family and I tried to get her eating her favorite food again but she was not able to hold it down and kept losing weight. But at least she is at peace now. I miss her though! |

I'm sorry for your loss Danielle. I can't imagine what that must have been like Sandy was very very lucky. She was a very rare case having gone from Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma and two months into chemo it was gone completely. That's the reason her weight fluctuated as it did. It doesn't happen like that for everyone. |

| So I realized that I didn't put too many pictures of Koda up this summer and I have a few that I just took. I apologize for the clarity on some of them. I just got a new phone (with a nice camera in it) and I'm still figuring out how to use it properly. After a hike up Mt Stevens at camp with Romeo, my brother and a few buddies Playing in his kiddie pool Playing tug-of-war with a horse leadline (see his camp staff ID on his collar? ) First pic on the new phone (this is my phone's wallpaper ) Being cute on the couch On a recent hike in the Adirondacks Koda got up two flights of stairs on the tower at the top and got scared, so we tied him and walked up to the top for pictures But then he was too scared to go down... Taking in the fresh air... And lastly...pouting while daddy brushes him Just for you Cath! _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
