This girl is at a kill shelter in Rome, GA. Her deadline is Tues. 6/19. I've been working trying to find a rescue to pull her. I'd be willing to foster until she gets a forever home. Please help!

If all else fails, go "adopt" her yourself and then foster her until you can find a home. That's what Melissa did with Asia (granted she was a foster failure), and I know some other people who have done that as well. Good luck!

Go get her. I would if she was nearby. I keep a close eye up here too, and I have some fantastic contacts with rescues. If all else fails let me know, I'll see I'd I can get her connected up here if you can get her out. Just let me know!

I am back. Can anyone help out transporting her. Rome, Georgia is an 11hr ride from here. I could drive to Louisville, KY but not until next weekend.

I am going out boating I will be back this evening, lots of Dads day activities today. I am very serious about giving her a home, so if you are in that area and can help in anyway I would appreciate it.

Katie, I'm currently talking with Blue Ridge Husky Rescue in Asheville, NC about her getting pulled. I have just notified them that you want to adopt her and need transport. As soon as they let me know something, I'll post here.

Ok, I just heard back from them. They said they would put out the word to their volunteers to see if we can get someone to meet you in Louisville. We need you to call the shelter on Monday to check on her status, and get an app. started. In the mean time, I'll will let you know if transport has been arranged.

Ok I emailed all 3 of contacts you listed and I will contact the shelter Monday.

Kevin if you could get her from Louisville that would be awesome. I could meet you where ever would be convenient for you.

I wish there was more information about her. I'm guessing that young means at or under 2 yrs and its hard to tell how big or little she is. That pic sure makes her look grumpy though lol!

Probably too much to hope she's already spayed. That's an expense I could live without. If she's not its not a problem. Under a year, poor girl.

I'm not sure, either. From what I can find out, I'm leaning towards not spayed. You can ask when you call the shelter though.

Our shelter's usually include spay/neuter in with the adoption fee. Hopefully they get all that taken care of for you.

Yeah most shelters will not adopt a dog out unless they're spayed/neutered unless they're under 6 months. Which she obviously isn't. I'm sure it's included.
