| There are some commercial products available to help, and you can get them from your vet and sometimes at a petstore. If you don't want to go that route, you can try putting pumpkin (very good for dogs anyway), meat tenderizer, or pineapple in Zelda's food, and those are all supposed to make her not want to eat her poop. Also, try picking up her poop immediately so she doesn't have a chance to eat it. One thing to consider also is her diet. What kind of food do you have her on, how much does she weigh, and how much are you feeding her. Sometimes a hungry dog will eat its own poop, and some foods have ingredients which apparently taste good coming out as well _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | ACKKK my female greyhound would do this until her death at age 12 last June. It was so gross I totally feel your pain. I honestly tried everything and really none of it worked. What worked was not having any poop laying around for her to eat, and she didn't care if it was hers or my males, or any other dogs. So I had to be religious with clean up. And still am to this day thanks to Nellie lol. |

| It's gross, isn't it, but it's not that uncommon. I have to agree with Balonsmom that cleaning up right away is the best way to prevent it. There was a Victoria Stilwell episode with this on, and she wrote about this problem here - worth a read. |
