2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff.
3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned.
4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. PostSubject: Axel, snores since his accident, coincidence or something else?   Axel, snores since his accident, coincidence or something else? EmptySun Jun 03, 2012 11:27 pm

Ok well now that I have a real keyboard and not the on screen one its much easier to type alot quickly, so I would like to ask ya'll something.

Before Axel got hit he never snored, also he never let his tongue hang out, seriously, never. But When he got hit and I ran into the street to scoop him up I was in shock and my blood was pumping and I held him under his throat and under his belly, ran back to the house ( and he is a very heavy boy let me tell ya), but anywho my whole family has noticed though that since that day he now snores like crazy, very deep too like *ahem* my hubby for instance LOL, also his tongue always is hanging out. When we took him to the vet they did a whole body xray and only found the fracture in his wrist, do you think maybe the vet over looked something in his throat? He isnt in any pain or anything, I've just been curious because late at night when its all dark Axel sleeps next to my bed and I never can tell when its him snoring or when its my hubby haha Shhh. So just wanted to see what ya'll think, if its something I should talk to his vet about ya know...

Couldn't hurt to ask your vet. I know Balon always has his tongue hanging out! You would probably feel better if you ask your vet.

this happened back in around late feb, but we had only had him for a few weeks, and I ALWAYS took him with me to take my kids to school, but that morning I was so tired and my sister was going to drive them, she opened the door and he ran out full speed and wouldnt stop, I ran after him, he ran across two busy streets, then turned around to come back, I saw it all in slow motion, the huge traffic coming, axel running back, headed right into the traffic, I yelled at him STAY!!! but he didnt listen he ran into the oncoming traffic and right infront of me, just 5 feet away he got hit head firt with his foot under the front tire by a sedan, I screamed at the top of my lung dude, I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I felt like that was my child (he is) I didnt care about the rest of the traffic coming, I ran into, stood by his side and turned around to the car rushing towards me and put my hand up and screamed STOP! and didnt lok to see if they were slowing scooped him up and ran all the back to my house crying, bloody, hysterical, got him inside called to try to find a vet who would see him, I didnt have money at the time because we ju7st moved here and hubby hadnt found a job yet, no vet would take him, I cleaned him up and he was only fussing over his foot, so I splinted it, and tried working out other options, luckily one of my old highschool friends is a resident for this people clicnic and he said on the doctors lunch hour just to bring him in and do a ultrasound on him and an xray and see what we can do, the ultrasound was fine just slight swelling in his abdomen, but no blood which was my biggest worry, but his foot had a small fracture, that day was so horrible though, that very night I was about to go to bed and I got a text from my sister, it said "Buck wrecked bad!", buck is my lil bro, hes 21, n from what she had told be before, they were going to go over by the school which is a 30 walk, well I got up grabbed my shoes told hubby, GOTTA GO, BUCK WRECKED, GOTTA FIND HIM!!, I ran all the way to the school, no one was there, I didnt have a phone so asked strangers, found him finally and it was so bad Sad I thought I was going to walk up and see my brother dead, he crashed into a rock and fence wall into someones yard, he came out ok but that is one of the worst days of my life, I thought I was going to have a breakdown, from axel, then the same day my bro, o.m.g. sorry for the long story but I thought you might like to just hear the whole thing *shrug*

I took pics so that if he ever needed them in court ya know?

the cops said he was lucky though, he somehow missed two palm trees, and he ran into the rock column and it crashed into his window but had it been a little to the left it would have went into his head.

it is SUCH a scary thing, especially if it happens right in front of you, since that day I am SUPER paranoid with him, Im always yelling at my family CLOSE THE FUCKING DOOR! and even when walking him Im scared he might get out of his harness or something, I would die if I lost him Sad
