What type of worms? Panacur, a general dewormer, only costs 5 dollars for your pups weight. Intercepter is about the same for a pup that small.

Most puppies have worms, and since you said she wasn't from a good breeder it's not surprising. It should be pretty easy to clear up after you take her to the vet and find out what type.

Not too fret, Worms are easily treatable! The over the counter stuff will work, but the vet can give you some stronger stuff that you give over a span over four days.

As long as you are diligent about cleaning up her feces asap and disposing of them properly she shouldn't reinfect herself.

Sura had worms when we first got her. We now have her on a monthly heartworm preventative that also protects against roundworms, hookworms and the like.

Balon had a nasty case of roundworms when we got him, it is quite normal actually. Even dogs from good breeders have them. It took us two rounds of panacur C 7 day treatment each two weeks apart to make sure he was rid of them.
