I follow a thing on twitter called OMGfacts and it posted a story of a guy who was arrested in Texas for addopting small animals (dogs, cats exc) to feed his 70+ snakes. I searched it on google...

That's why you don't give away pets for free! I had a guy who made up this whole story of wanting to adopt 4 kittens I was fostering saying how his kids would love them and they would have a great life. I told him the adoption fee was $45, but that included spay/neuter and all shots and he said, "Shit. Nevermind. I just wanted to feed them to my snake." I was seeing red after that and I don't know how I didn't punch the guy in the face.

Dumbasses shouldn't own snakes, or any animal for that matter. We have snakes but we feed them frozen/thawed mice and rats, we don't troll CL for free pets!

Omg I would have reported him. It's scary cause I'm sure this is very common. Why go pay for food when so many people are giving away their pets to anyone to get rid of them.

Whats even worse is if you try to make people aware of people like this they think your nuts. They flag the post and such.

People like that make reptile owners look bad! I love my snakes but I can't understand how anyone would be able to feed their pet someomes elses pet.
