Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| About 2:30 am I was in a dead sleep and Hayden came over and kept putting his head on my neck, trying to wake me up and crying. I thought it was his usual "I wanna play while you sleep" moments, so I tried ignoring it at first and he kept on acting really unusual. I got up to let him out and he went straight to the kitchen, where I got this really strong smell of burning wire. It was coming from behind our refrigerator, it was the start of an electrical fire (we've been having problems with our fridge lately). No flames had started yet, but you could tell they weren't far off. Plus, it started making this strange hissing sound that I've never heard before. Thankfully, it didn't get any worse than what it already was. We unplugged it and are buying a new refrigerator tomorrow! Just glad Hayden has a good sniffer |

| Awesome job Hayden! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | Aww- great job Hayden! That's awesome! Not as cool, but we're working on Koda with being around children. He gets very excited and wants to play. Well, when my heart-nephew (best friend's kid) is over, we do a lot of training, but sometimes I'll just leash him and let Cody wander around. This one time Koda was leashed by me and was very very calm. Cody was running around the deck and passing Koda and he was being really good. Then all of a sudden Cody walks to the edge of the deck a starts to go through the railings (our slats aren't up to code, so a child could easily fit through them). Well, just as I turn around to grab Cody, Koda jumps up, barks and reaches forward to grab Cody and pull him back. It wasn't much, but I was really proud of him _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |
