We went to the vet this morning to vet her last bordetella shot so that I can kennel her in Austin this weekend and she took it like a champ....that is until she got the shot. haha. The came running out to me crying, lol. So when we came home I was getting ready to leave and then when I walk into the bathroom she runs out and the bottom drawer is open, didn't think anything of it until I saw a silver foil medicine wrapper chewed up, I kept hoping it was her heartworm pill since I have to give it to er anyway, nope she ate my Mefloquine HCL (Malaria treatment pill). I called the vet and he told me to induce vomiting and look for the pill. I looked and couldn't find anything! So the assumption is that she chewed up the pill. So the Dr told me to come back into the pet hospital so that they could treat her with active carbon. So they have her for the next couple of hours.....that little $hi+ better be alright!

WOW! That's insanity! What vet do you use? They sound decent from your posts, and since I'm in the same area, I'm curious

I'm using VCA Oso Creek. I know they are more expensive than others out there, but I think their staff (Dr's) are well educated, they basically have ALL of her shot records, and they are less than a mile away from me. Who do you use?

They even hooked it up on the price and reduced it from $130 to $45. I like them even more!

Yeah, Oso Creek is VERY good, I deal with them through PAAC. I'm a foster parent for PAAC. I can't afford them though, because they are (IMO) crazy expensive for 5 dogs LOL. & the couple times I have been in their the front staff has been incredibly rude. Dr. Whitlock is a saint, though. If I could just deal with her, I would be golden. LOL. I use Crosstown Animal Clinic. They are very inexpensive and I've had really good service with them. I want to find a smaller clinic though, because they have A LOT of clients and I like intimate settings. I've found with Oso, as well as Moody, they don't recgonize your dogs right away, like Windsor park did. But Windsor Park almost killed my pom via choking on a treat after I told them she couldn't have it. I live out near Portland, so I'm going to be checking out the portland vet here soon, so that I can see if we can switch.
