The title says it all...is it true? I saw it earlier on the forum and thought I'd ask. I don't mind the digging, but my hubby isn't a fan and we are in base housing. If there was a way to minimize it for now that would be nice. Would also explain why the neighbors put straw down for their goldens.

I would be interested if anyone knows the answer.

I had read it somewhere on the internet as well. Straw is cheap so I figured it would be worth a try, I don't think I need to do it right when I bring Malfoy home (I don't see him digging any deep ruts for at least a week) My goal is to get it done by a week after he is here. If you haven't found an answer by then I will post a follow up of how it is going so far for me.

We have straw down to try and grow grass, i don't believe the girls have dug in it.

My pups dig in the mulch in a couple of places in the back yard. I guess I am wondering if straw is different than mulch.

My girls love digging in the mulch mounds in our backyard. I think they like it more then the dirt.

My pups have straw in their dog house as insulation, and Jade loved digging and burrowing in it. but that may just be her.

But i have never seen her dig through the straw if it was on the ground outside, she only digs around in it in her dog house.

we put straw down in the area fenced in for the dogs when it gets rainy and muddy out. they love it, rolling in it, making piles and digging and jumping.
