Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

Dear Customer,
Diamond Pet Foods has updated the production codes that were impacted by this recall. The most up-to-date recall production code information is below. Please note that the bolded production codes below are revised from the previously letter you received over the weekend and you should recheck your dog Diamond Pet Foods dry pet food packaging to confirm that you do not have a recalled product.
We are contacting you because you have purchased one of the below mentioned brand’s dry pet food since December 9th, 2011: Brand Name Products Impacted Production Code Taste of the Wild Dry pet food see below Diamond Dry pet food see below Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul Dry pet food see below Premium Edge Dry pet food see below Professional Dry pet food see below
Diamond Pet Foods, the manufacturer of these brands, is voluntarily recalling limited batches of dry pet foods manufactured between December 9, 2011, and April 7, 2012 due to Salmonella concerns.
Although none of the products being recalled have tested positive for Salmonella, the company is pulling them from store shelves as a precaution. Diamond Pet Foods is coordinating efforts with federal and state health and regulatory agencies but decided to independently expand the recall to ensure the safety and well-being of customers and their pets.
To determine if your pet food is recalled, consumers should check the production codes on the back of bags. Any production codes that have a number “2” or a “3” in the 9th position and an “X” in the 10th or 11th position in the production code should be discarded. The best before dates are December 9, 2012, through April 7, 2013.
Pet owners who are unsure if the product they purchased is included in the recall, or who would like replacement product or a refund, may contact Diamond Pet Foods via a toll free call at 1-866-918-8756, Monday through Sunday, 8 am – 6pm EST. Consumers may also go to www.diamondpetrecall.com for more information. The company is working with distributors and retailers to ensure all affected product is removed from shelves.
Pets with Salmonella infections may have decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. If left untreated, pets may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever and vomiting. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian. We do not have any confirmed reports of pet illnesses.
Individuals handling dry pet food can become infected with Salmonella, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with surfaces exposed to this product. Healthy people who believe they may have been exposed to Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. According to the Centers for Disease Control, people who are more likely to be affected by Salmonella include infants, children younger than 5 years old, organ transplant patients, people with HIV/AIDS and people receiving treatment for cancer. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) have received a limited number of reports of salmonellosis, the illness caused by Salmonella. Diamond is working with the CDC, but due to patient confidentiality, they cannot comment further.

| LoL Sorry Jenn^^.
I'm not the type to ever correct someone's grammar or spelling, being half french I'm constantly making typos and mistakes.... I think I edit about 90% of my posts and 50% I edit more then once.
It was just the culmination of the typo itself, and what Len had wrote in Meredeth's L33T Speak thread. I needed a laugh on this terrible day and that was a good one.
Anyways sorry for the Monty Pythonesque interruption.
I hope this whole recall things works out.
~Chris~
