| So I crate Mia when I'm not at home. And she has been doing very well, but recently in the past week she had wet her crate 3 times. I recently started to give her more water. Did i have faith in her bladder too early? Am I giving her too much water after her lunch walk? Should I diaper her? |

| It probably is too much water, and don't forget that they really don't have full bladder control until they're around 6 months old. If you know you're going to leave her in the crate for any length of time, make sure to withhold the water for a little while before putting her in, and take her outside and make her go potty immediately before she goes in the crate. Also, a good rule of thumb with puppies is they can be left for 1 hour per month of age. So at 3 months they should be able to stay in the crate for up to 3 hours. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I sometimes wonder if they do stuff like that on purpose... Hope your shin feels better soon! _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | I think she totally knows. It's not the first time. I'm guessing she practices higher level calculus and dynamics while I'm at work so that she can perfect her trajectories and objects. haha. It's like when they accidentally run by you and you lose your balance. |
