| We'd need a better pic(s) to be able to tell, preferably a clear head and body shot. _________________ |

| My boy has little black marks, like birthmarks or something, under his fur, on his nose. You can really only see them when his fur is wet, because it's on his skin, which looks pink everywhere else.
Is this normal? Thanks. |

| My little girl's mum was full husky but her dad was husky w/ 1/4 mastiff. Freya has the mastiff markings and the jowels of the mastiff. She's quite solid too, she was the biggest of the females in her litter.
I call her my orange Husky. |

| Did everyones puppies have standing ears when they were young, or were they floppy and then stand once the dog got older?
I'm just curious, Freya has floppy ears and I'm not sure if it's yet another mastiff thing from her fathers side or if she will eventually get the standing ears. |

| Pretty sure all standard huskies have standing ears from birth. |

| They all start out with floopy ears and they stand up eventually. _________________ |

| Not all of them have standing ears from birth. Actually, if you go back through and look at people's scrapbooks, there are a bunch on here who either had one or both ears flopped over for a while. Freya is really young, give her some time, they should be standing up by the time she's 3-4 months old. _________________ Shadow's Blog Canine Hydrocephalus Support on Facebook "Being the parent of a special-needs pet means living your life constantly poised on the edge of a double-edged sword. | This is a litter from a breeder that I know - the day they were born: 2 weeks: Some dogs ears take longer to stand up. I know of dogs that haven't had their ears standing until 6-8 weeks. Unless a dog has a broken ear (floopy) - a purebred Siberian will always have erect ears. _________________

Unless a dog has a broken ear (floopy) - a purebred Siberian will always have erect ears. If you look at the pups you can see that they are going to have erect ears. Freya's ears look like they're meant to be floppy. I really hope they stand up, she's nearly 7 weeks old. If they dont stand up she's never going to look ANYTHING like a husky lol. She's ornage, has joules and floppy ears with REALLY thick furr that when you prize apart you cant even see the skin. My poor baby girl is a little bit different. The mastiff must be really strong in her, all of this from 1/8th mastiff. |
