| For the past few weeks, Kemba has constantly been licking her paws. She doesn't seem to be chewing or biting at them, just licking. I looked at her pads and they are a little pink, but not raw. I'm not sure if this is something I should be worried about.
The only thing I could think is that since now its spring, they have been using fertilizer or something on the grass in the park, or maybe she has seasonal allergies? Is this something common with huskies?

| It might be because she's bored, if she doesn't get enough exercise or mental stimulation. Other than that, the only other things I would think are allergies or something on her feet.
If it's from fertilizer in the parks, I would be concerned that she's eating it |

| The pink is from the saliva. She could be bored, or it could be an allergy. My friend's dog has this and it's a food allergy; she changed his food and it cleared up. Or it might be an infection that is making her paws itchy. |

^^^This^^^ A number of my parents dogs have had this issue, and a co-worker of mine is dealing with it currently. Hope you can narrow it down in a timely manner! |

| Not sure what type of food your give your pup but try a non grain food. Stay away from anything w/ corn in it. There are quite a few good foods, Taste of the wild & Orijen are 2 that pop into my head or if you shop at Costco try their Nature's Domain... i believe its made by the same company that makes TOTW. |

| She's been on the Origen puppy for the last year, in the last week we started switching her over to Acana Wild Praire. She is allergic to grains, but the Acana is also grain free. Today, I only gave her the Origen - maybe she's having an allergic reaction to the Acana. |

| I think it' an allergy too. My Dalmatian has been non-stop licking the top of his paw to the point he licked all the fur off. I took him to the vet and they said it was an allergy too and gave me some medication to put on it and keep it wrapped. They also suggested I give him Benadryl to see if that helps too. You could always put in a call to you're vet and see if it's ok if you're dog has one too. It wouldn't hurt anything just to see if it makes her more comfortable. |
