Forum Rules | 1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule. |

| That poor puppy, not being able to run and play. I'm glad she's getting the time and attention she deserves in order to get a real quality of life. It's so sad that people were going to give up on her before she'd even had a chance to live. |

| That's such a coincidence, this is our local GSD rescue! They, and the other local rescues, really go the mile for those injured dogs. Alley's Angels Husky rescue rescued a 1 yr old girl yesterday with a reallllly bad break on her arm. Both rescues need donations, if anyone can spare a few bucks right now.
The GSD rescue had some crazy rich guy build them a completely over the top rescue facility, despite them preferring to spend the money saving more dogs. He continued to scale things out of proportion trying to make it all chi chi enough for his rich-ass friends to consider adopting vs buying from a breeder, builds up the rescue to 17 full timers, incl. a vet - and then pulls ALLLL funding when they don't meet 100% of his egomaniacal demands (even though the founder - who personally fosters the worst cases and hand feeds them - resigned, as per his wishes). Super sad.
Despite this, they're still slogging through - trying to save as many dogs as they can. They were super helpful many months ago and were going to take on my neighbor's GSD that he abandoned and was 12 hrs from being put down. When I found an 11th hr forever home for her, the founder personally emailed me to thank me for being the GSD's champion and was so happy she found a great home. You could really tell how much she loves these dogs. I'm so glad they're being featured on MSN today! |

| Please vote for them in the shelter challenge! http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/shelterchallenge.faces Just a note, I didn't write that they're in danger of being evicted - since the crazy rich guy didn't buy a building. He just leased it and then spent millions making it fancy. <rolling eyes> |
