Forum Rules
1. Here we prefer clarity to agreement. Obviously not everyone is going to agree on a topic; here we prefer to talk out our differences in a respectful manner to ensure mutual understanding and respect. 2. Read the Stickies and Announcements. Each sub-forum may have specific rules which trump the Forum Rules in cases where there may be conflicting information. Read the rules of each board before you post so that you are clear on the expectations of the staff. 3. Respect ALL Staff and Admins. These people volunteer of their time and MUST be respected as well as their word adhered to. They are responsible for maintaining a free, open, clear and organized forum. Anyone found to be openly undermining any official ruling by a staff member will be warned. 4. Signatures: One picture only and no links. Images: To keep the forum looking neat and tidy, we ask that members insert just one picture only in their signatures. The picture should be no more than 200x500 pixels and should be of an appropriate subject, for example, your dogs and their names. Should you need assistance creating an appropriate signature, please PM an Admin and we would be happy to help! This is to ensure that signatures remain a welcome addition to our forum instead of a cumbersome distraction. Links: Hyperlinks in signatures--unless to a personal blog or photo stream of your dogs (like Flckr or Piscasa, for example)--are strictly prohibited. Please PM a staff member with any questions or concerns regarding this rule.

He does have a breaking point. If I do that more than a couple of minutes, he gets assertive with me. Coco hates it, Ridik thinks it's a game, Tambi is too small for it to work and Bubba LOVES it. It all started with Sioux since he does that weird kneading thing. It never occurred to me that dogs could be ticklish.

If you gently touch the fur around the pads of their feet when they're sleeping you'll find they're ticklish there too. It drives Sitka nuts and I get a huge kick out of it.

Oh man. I wish we had more people on here. This could get interesting quick. On another forum, some people are analyzing Sioux's behavior and they have concluded that he is stressed and I should change the way I interact with my dogs. Needless to say, that's an easy argument to steer downhill, and that can be fun if I can get them emotional...

That's the thing. When I see other dogs on behalf of the owner's request, I try to see everything that encompasses the relationship. With Jack, I see him gaining his confidence and pushing limits where he sees an opportunity. But I've spent more time observing you and them than the few seconds in a video. Still I would question if I'm seeing things right. My training style is abhorred by most on forums, but when my dogs are by themselves they are perfect heeling auto sitting angels. There's no way in hell I would try anything to diminish their drive as a pack. But that's what most people see, the pack intensity and how stressed the dogs are. ¿No kidding? I'm stopped, they want to go forward and you see stress? Imagine that.
