Myst arrived in Billing from Virginia on August 30th, 2012. We drove up, picked her up and drove back home. She was six months old. She had traveled well, although the crate was a bit of a mess from her long flight. The airport people liked her so much they opened up the crate and gave her a little water when she finally arrived. We took this shot about twilight at a rest stop on the way home. The next morning, she got to meet Apollo, our nine year old Border Collie and the family cats (pictured is Rafiki ~ yes the cats are all named for Disney movie characters; we have five). We aquired Myst in part because Apollo was starting to have some bad days, and we thought he might be on his way out (fortunately we were wrong). We also got her because Duchess our 14 year old red and white Siberian had passed away a number of years before, and I've been wanting another for awhile now. I'd never considered a silver, I was looking for another red and white, but something about this six month old little puppy just caught my eye and I kept coming back to her. When she arrived, the first thing I said was "she looks like a coyote, she'll get shot for sure!" Hence the red bandanna. She got to wear that till she was introduced to all the neighbors around the neighborhood. FYI, thats my wife Teri in that second picture.

On the 1st of September, after a couple of days of adjusting to a new home and new rules, Myst was beginning to settle in. She got to meet my youngest daughter Anna. and we found a game that she loved "fishing" for squirrels and raccoons .

On September 2nd, my older daughter Rachael came over to take senior pictures of Teri's youngest Erin. They were headed up to the mountains for the photoshoot, so Apollo, Myst and I got to ride along. Myst got to play in the swim in a mountain lake, walk the creek, climb lots of rocks, and she even got to get her picture taken lots. Walking a small stream; Hanging out on the creek bank; Just chilling with me; After the photoshoot, we headed up to a local Garden of the Gods spot on the Big Horns that we all like to hang out at. Myst even got a little time off leash as we were climbing and running around on the rocks. Apollo, Myst, Rachael and I on the rocks; Once she got tired, she laid down to rest; She found a nice shady spot; And of course she slept all the way home;

On September 12th, Myst got the opportunity to do a little gardening with Teri; Rafikki of course had to sneak in as well; After a bit she got bored however and had to go check out the grass; Of course she found something to chew on, as all Siberians do; Apollo and Rafikki were around as well; As you can tell, she adjusted to the cats pretty quickly, despite never having been around them before she was six months old.

On September 15th, we got to take her down the public park, they were having a dog festival. Lots of vendors and games for the pups to play. We entered her in a couple different events and she got to socialize as well. She actually took 2nd place in the agility event, but of course there were not many trained contendors LOL. We did get a picture of her in the sniff and find booth, looking for a treat under ice cream buckets; After she found it, she couldn't wait to get her treat; And when the festival was over, we got to take down to the local off-leash dog park and she got to meet a bunch of new friends. Evidently, we were not much into taking pictures though, as this is the only one we got lol;
