Lex, the sable husky, i have had since he was a puppy. Apollo, the black and white, we got when he was 15 months. The breeders had sold him to a family who apparently thought they were getting a lawn ornament. But Apollo, once was named Tucker, wasn't having it and would jump the fence & climb the fence. So they got an in ground fence.... he learned how to turn it off. LOL so eventually his owners got tired of bailing him out of the pound so they took him there & left him. I'm assuming they felt guilty for this and notified the breeder, who felt obligated to go get him from the pound. The breeder works with my boyfriends mother and he told her about the ordeal and we went to look at him and he fell in love with my boyfriend immediately! They are still quite the pair, its so sweet. We can't imagine why anyone would not adore him b/c he is the sweetest dog i've ever met! We fixed his escaping issue by making him an inside dog, giving him a play mate, and having an 8' privacy fence lol. He is now our "Apollo Houdini Tucker".... And thats the story behind our little furry fam |
