I'm looking over the Black Friday deals that are being offered at Bust Buy this year and they will have DC28 Animal for $399.99 that day.

Lowes has the DC41 on sale til tomorrow for $425. The DC28 (black Friday Deal) is not the ball technology. I'm thinking the ball model would be easier to maneuver. Can anyone confirm that?

We have the ball animal. It is easier to maneuver and seems to be lighter to carry. We love it but I must warn you it's addicting!

I bought the DC41 online. I hope I love it as much as everyone else cause I have never paid that much for a vacuum before!

So, I picked up my DC41 tonight. I had a heck of a time getting the hose connected but that was my fault. I just wasn't getting the diagram and felt kinda stupid once I figured it out. My first impressions is very positive. It was weird at first because its so flexible I almost wondered if I didn't have something attached to it. I'm used to my big, bulky, heavy vacuum. The big plus for me was not having to adjust it to go from carpet to hardwood, no buttons to push or step on to go from a standing position to vacuuming and the front of the vacuum is so slim that it fit under my baseboard heaters which saved me an extra step since I didn't have to detach the hose. I'm glad I listened to this thread and got one, AS long as it stays durable and lasts a long time. I'm still cringing at the price but I believe it will be worth it as long as it lasts.... Oh and I had the price wrong in my post above. I got it for 20% off of the $699 and then an additional 5% off since I used my Lowes card. Total price was $455.

I have mine Dyson 4 years ago, it is a different model, not a upright one. And I have the Groom tool as soon as it s on the market, it does show some sign of wear, like the pin needles on the brush is bent a bit, but still work fine. I think this is a must item if you don't want the fur/hair goes fly everywhere when you brush. Otherwise, the ordinary one work pretty good if you doing it in garden where you don't mind be covered by fur.

We just picked up the pet groom tool. We've got a Dyson dc41 upright and a Dyson dc39 canister. The hose on the upright is too stiff for a long grooming session. If we didn't have a dc39, I would recommend getting a second hose that's more flexible. The groom tool works great on our Sibe but on a thinner coat animal like our border collie/Aussie mix, you have to be careful about scratching the skin with the metal pin bristles. It's not the fastest hair removal tool, but not having piles of hair on the floor after grooming is quite nice.
