| I have been off here for a while, Having a second dog has taken up all my freetime, but on the plus side I have lost almost 50lbs running with them. I have noticed that Libby (3yrs old) has been really lazy since Lucy (8months) has been around. I dont know if it is becasue she is running around more or if she just hit that age where she is more layed back. Even when my ex takes her for a few days, all she wants to do is sleep. I know that Lucy keeps her going a lot when they are together, but she also gets very annoyed with her. HAHA
Now I am worried that they are too far apart in age for the energy level difference. Libby is still very protective of all toys and food, So I seperate them when a treat is given. For the most part they get along really well considering that Lucy is a total SPAZ!!!
Lucy and Libby are both cuddlers which has been really nice.
How are the energy levels in all your pups? Should I be worried about Libby being more layed back? She eats great and her weight is good. I think I just worry too much. |

| Sounds like you just worry too much If they are getting along just fine normally, just keep training to help counter the resource guarding. It's likely that Libby is just calming down AND that she's calmer with Lucy around. However, if the age difference were a problem, you'd know it. There would be pretty rough fights. It sounds like Libby is able to tell Lucy no without escalating the situation. (I assume if she were, you would have said they were fighting). _________________ www.itsahuskything.com It's a husky thing... you wouldn't understand. |

| Congrats on the weight loss! Ghost is quite laid back and he's about 2. Maybe Lucy is tiring Libby out a lot and she's relaxing the rest of the time. It's not really a big age difference between them and Lucy will probably calm down a bit with time ... |

| Thank you all, I will get pictures posted soon, I am way behind on that. They are both very good girls, and hope Lucy calms down a little soon. She is much calmer when it is just her and I, but she thinks Libby is her personal toy. HAHA |

| Welcome back Christine! I don't think you should worry too much. Luka and Kitty are about 2 years apart and Kitty, the younger one, seems to drive Luka crazy once and a while. If Luka gets sick of playing she will usually get the point accross to Kitty that playtime is over. Sometimes I'll just tell Kitty to calm down, or I'll try to engage her in play so Luka can go lay down. Can't wait to see the new pics! |
